How much will Octo cost?
We haven't locked pricing yet. The current research preview is free for early learners. When we open paid plans we'll announce in advance and grandfather everyone who signed up during the preview.
Why is it free now?
Octo is in research preview. The model that designs and teaches your coursees is still being refined, and we're using early-learner feedback to shape both the pedagogy and the product. Open access is how we keep the feedback loop honest.
Is this a typical SaaS subscription?
Probably some flavour of subscription, but the priced unit is still being decided. The honest answer is "we don't know yet."

Yes. Anything you've already started during the research preview keeps working, and we'll never paywall content you've already begun.
